I'm José, writer, idealist, realist, optimist, and explorer, and comedian. I write often, whether it be for my novel concept that is slowly coming together, restarting my blog, or writing technical drafts for work. I am an idealist, civically engaged, liberally and progressively minded (with a few exceptions), looking at the possibility of running for public office in the short term or near future. I am a realist, I know there are limits to what can be done and even idealism can only get you so far. I am an optimist, which is best shown by being able to see the best side of humanity in even the most horrible tragedies and horrors. I am an explorer, as I am generally able to look at my surroundings and the world around me, in a book, in the food and drink I enjoy, the places I go, and the places I visit with a sense of wonder, fascination, and inquisitiveness. Lastly, I am a comedian (as best as I can), snarky, sarcastic, because laughter makes everything else all that much better.
