Leisure & Fun

TV preferencesNews, Cartoons, Documentaries, Re-runs
Favorite TV showsAnything old Star Trek related, but I loved TOS the most. These days it's mostly Duck Dynasty to laugh at, and paranormal programs. I watch a lot of Travel & History Channel. I'm a huge fan of the anime, Bleach.
Favorite movies typesAction, Science fiction, Comedy, Animation
Favorite moviesI'm not very girly. I like Star Trek movies, Lord of the Rings (I'm more or less a Trekkie/Tolkien fan, first and foremost). I also like the Indiana Jones movies, the X-Men films (though that last of the trilogy was a real stinker), and Goodfellas.
Music typesRock, Electronic, Classical, Vacuum cleaner noises, Industrial, Ambient, Punk
Favorite artistsI like Rob Zombie, but even my mom likes Rob Zombie. I mostly listen to 90's alternative. Depeche Mode, The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, Nitzer Ebb, Nine Inch Nails, KMFDM, Nirvana, Ministry, Pearl Jam, Lords of Acid, Fun, GroupLove, Lana Del Rey.
Reading selectionClassic, Comic, Fiction, Humor, Reference, Poetry, Science fiction
Idea of funHanging out, watching tv, maybe going outside for a walk now and then. I'm a homebody but I do like going outdoors, like up to the Gorge waterfall areas, even if I can't walk the trails well. Wait, nerds who go outside?! The sun...it burns! D:

Always wanted to tryGardening. I managed to keep some orchids alive for three months! Normally I have two black thumbs, but I'll keep on murdering outdoor plants while I try to sort it all out and learn how to make things not keel over and go splat, thank you very much.

Goal in lifeI'm the sort of person who believes that Jesus is the ultimate hippy and we should treat everyone as we would like to be treated, ourselves. I believe there is a God, but I also don't believe on pushing my personal belief onto others or having others push their personal beliefs onto me. I consider that to be very rude and one's relationship with God (or their chosen diety) is a personal one. While I do believe in God, I had lots of gay friends & family throughout my life, so I'm very open minded & for marriage equality for everyone.

Looking For

Must haveIntelligence, Humor, Great skills, Empathy, Boldness, Oddities, Flirtatiousness, Wit, Thoughtfulness
Look for in a partnerI'd like someone who can balance me out like the yin to my yang, but still give me the quiet time I require to decompress from daily chores & work. I'd like someone who understands me & I understand them, but we don't necessarily need to like or do the exact same things. Someone secure with themselves and sure of their own self, and who doesn't do things, half-heartedly. No melodramatics.
On the first dateDinner and movie is just fine with me, but no sappy romances. I like bromance/action flicks or fantasy/sci-fi movies, thanks. I'm fine with walking through scenic locations, as long as it's not up a mountainside. The beach, the Multnomah Falls lodge area, or anywhere there's waterfalls or a river view is great. I'm not a great hiker (bad knees). I like going to museums, too.
