I have been a Star Trek fan for most of my life. When I was a kid, I watched TNG religiously. Then later on I started watching Deep Space Nine and Voyager. the values that have been portrayed on the show has been a major influence on my life -- both on a personal and a professional level.

Still, I'm not the kind of Star Trek fan that dresses up, and I really haven't been to that many conventions. I have some pictures on my wall, I own a few Star Trek books, and that's about it. I have nothing against those who do. I just never got into that part of fandom, but who is to say that I won't sometime in the future.
