Always out of my element.

I hate writing about myself. It would be far easier to let someone else describe me. Therefore, I am bringing my plant over to describe me...

...

Well, that pretty much says it all. Thank you Mr. Plant for your time.

I should probably add that my plant was a little reserved when it spoke just now. Next time, I'll try to coax a little more out of it.

Until then, I guess I'll take over. I'm a guy who is most often either confused, lost, or laughing at myself and the situations I get myself in. I like the way this site labels me as "introverted," I guess they didn't have a category for, "incredibly shy hermit who has difficulty talking to people outside of a work environment."

*NEW Feb 2013* I should admit that Mr. Plant is still with me as he is plastic. He is still here, but a bit dustier.

*Another update July 2015* Mr. Plant continues to remain with me and only slightly deteriorated. Also, I recently took a personality test online. It listed me as ISFP, or what they call "The Artist." See my introverted comment above to get a feel for my thoughts on that title.

*Dec. 2016* I recently had two days of road-tripping (8+ & 6 hours), with two more to come. It dawned on me that those trips would be infinitely more enjoyable if I had a copilot. Not sure why this didn't dawn on me until now, but it is now on my mind. Anyone want to be my copilot on future drives?

Always wanted to tryI like road trips, but they can get dull alone. It would be far better if I had a copilot and navigator along for the adventure. Of course, they can drive too!

On the first dateFirst dates are always the hardest. You almost never know what the lady likes to do, so it is hard to plan around that. These dates usually end up as generic get-to-know-you activities.

The dinner and a movie thing is great as a backup, but sitting watching a movie is hardly the way to learn about your date. I'd prefer to go to(or meet at) some fancy art show, museum, exhibit, etc. This way, there is still plenty of time to talk as we are walking around. If the conversation is struggling, there are usually items at these events to spur it forwards.

After this walk and talk, a nice dinner with wine and more conversation would be great. I'll even go as far as sharing a dessert afterwards. Hopefully not too full, we go for a walk by the lake/river/boardwalk/pier. Our walk would end by the car (her's, if we met). If a kiss feels right, it would be a slow tender kiss. If not, a hug would be just fine.

The biggest thing to take home from this would be some things that she likes to do. That way, if there is a second+ date(s) I could try to plan them accordingly.

Can anyone else hear music playing or is it just me?
